ABOUT VIENNA

It is hard not to mention the rhythm humming Brahms lullaby or a Strauss waltz , if you explore the beautiful attractions of baroque Austrian capital , Vienna, which for centuries was the capital of the great Habsburg Empire. The city is inspired by the great imperial spirit in the form of fabulous palaces and large monasteries that are scattered across Inerstadtu . Cultural heritage is mostly urban music , great composers, classical music such as Strauss , Brahms , Beethoven, Schubert , Haydn and Mozart all lived and worked here. Today the Vienna Philharmonic and State Opera House help to keep alive the city 's reputation by offering a lot of classical music performances a year, more than any other city in the world .
Vienna is a city of music, but also a synonym for cream cakes , excellent cafes, angelic singing Vienna Boys Choir and the Lipizzaner stallions prance proudly into world- famous Spanish Riding School . . .

ATRACTIONS
Belvedere Palace
Belvedere has two rococo monastery , designed in the early 18 century , which are facing each other on the slant , hair field, which offers excellent views of the city. Externally it is one of Vienna's finest palace complex , which was built by Prince Eugene of Savoy , the famous general who saved Vienna from the Ottoman conquest . Two palace museums contain some of the most famous Viennese art galleries , which provide excellent examples of Austrian art from the Middle Ages to the present. This includes an unparalleled collection of paintings Klimt, Siela , Kokoschka, Renoir and Monet. Medieval and Baroque works are in the bottom of the palace where many rooms preserved in their original appearance.

Spanish Riding School
Spanish Riding School in Vienna is the oldest and last riding school in the world where classic dressage horse is still practiced in its particular form . This Institute was founded in the 1572nd years and was appointed Lipizzaner horses, which were originally Spanish. Imperial School was originally located near the village of Lipica , but since the collapse of the Danube monarchy 1920th renamed the Federal school in Styria . Horses perform their performance in the Winter Riding School , which has formed the ruler of Karl VI . Performances are conducted between February and June , September and December , but tickets bukiraju earlier. The easiest way to see the horses in their training season. Tickets are only available at the door . There is also seated Lipican Museum, which displays the history of the school.

Business Hours : Museum open daily from 9:00 to 18:00 hours and the training season : Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 24:00.

Prater wheel
One of Vienna's famous attractions , large wheel is located in a forested park known as the Prater . It was built in the 1879th year of an English engineering firm and is the only of its kind that still potoji , slicnan those in Chicago, London and Paris. Wheel with 15 gondolas going in circles for about 20 minutes and provides a beautiful panoramic view of the city .

Open: daily from 9:00 am to midnight.

Schönbrunn Palace
Schönbrunn Palace is a fantastic neked used as a summer residence of the Habsburgs of 18 century. Located in the beautiful gardens , this vast , symmetrical structure is everything you ever imagined imperial palace should look like. Excursion at the palace offers visitors the chance to see a great gallery of Baroque and Rococo state rooms and to admire the famous ceiling frescoes in the Grand Gallery in the Hall of Mirrors where Mozart once played . Huge gardens are attractive and locals and tourists, including the zoo and maze. Within this space is part of classical music concerts during the summer season .

Opening hours : daily from 8:30 to 17:00 .

Travel program:

13.01. – Coming to hotel, the accomodation, optional leave for Vienna sightseeing, accompanied by the local experienced guides. Sightseeing of the former Habsburg capital, now one of the leading cities of European culture: Belvedere, Karlskirche (Charles' Church), Karlsplatz (Charles' Square), Musikverein (Music Society, the host of the famous Vienna New Year's Concert), Sezession ( Secession), Naturhistorisches Museum (Museum of Nature History), Kunsthistoriches Museum (The Art History Museum), the big circular boulevard Ringstrasse with the Parliamentom, Burgtheater, The City Hall (Rathaus), Votivkirche Church etc. the walk thorugh Hofburg and the city centre Stephansplatz (St. Stephen's Square) and Stephansdom (St. Stephen's Church). After the sightseeing, the free time. Accomodation to the hotel. Overnight stay.

14.01. Breakfast. After the breakfast the folklore troops will be preparing for the show. A cocktail for the participants with the representatives of the Vienna City council, the representatives of the embassies of the participants' countries and the organisers. The sound rehearsal. The festival opening. Optional: Common friendly party of the participants from all troops! Overnight stay.

15.01. Breakfast. After the breakfast the optional sightseeing of the unique summer palace of the Habsburg dynasty Sch ö nbrunn.While walking thorugh the lavish rooms of the edifice, you will feel the power and the wealth of the ruling dynasty. After the sightseeing of the inner palace, walk through the grandious garden and the creations of the Schönbrunn gardeners. Make the most beautiful photos the Gloriette viewpoint.

The time for the free activities in the city centre. In the afternoon ther eis a possibility of optional sightseeing of the highest building in Austria, the famous Danube Tower, where you can have the wonderful view to the city and its surroundings. All participants have to go (regretfully) to their own point of return with the hope to see each other next year!!!!!

  • extra dinner in the hotel – 12 €: extra dinner in the restaurant – 8 €

  • to the interested parties (Folklore Societies) we could organise the transport according to the market prices during the festival
  • optional sightseeing (Vienna, Sch ö nbrunn Castle, Danube Tower, discotheques...)

Note: all ensembles must provide their own music, leading orchestar or music CDs. Each ensemble is obligated to set performance in duration of 10 minutes.
